Green Hair Again

Shirt: Modcloth, Pin: Vintage
I was really excited this day because my dad's old Sinatra pin matched with the bow on my blouse so it was automatically an awesome day. Plus, I'm fairly certain that this was the day of our theater's fall show so I got to sit in the costume room all day instead of going to class and after school my friends and I watched episodes of Firefly on a laptop for a few hours and hung out and it was really fun.
Have a lovely day!

Little Kid Clothes

So I basically just found my old elephant-print nighty and this sick white hat from my childhood and wore them around for a while. The hat was awesome to put pins on and the nightgown was just awesome in general. I like wearing things meant for children because they're always just better and it always seems very Captain Sensible, especially when paired with jumbles of children's bracelets and things, or some hot pink furry pants.
I hope you have a lovely day!

X

On this day I had put tons of hairspray and various things in my hair so that it stuck out a lot and it was kind of great and my dad told me that I loved like Exene and it was a wonderful complement, especially because about a month later my parents took my friend and I to see X in concert in Ventura which was awesome.
Have a lovely day!

Lightening Round

Okay, so I haven't posted in a very long time but I have a ton of pictures saved up on my computer from the times that I've remembered to take pictures or have gotten home early enough from the theater, so I'm going to start putting them all up with a few comments and some basic "outfit details" but over all things are mostly vintage, thrifted, or diy-ed.

The Catcher in the Rye

This was a photo shoot that I did for an English project a few months ago. It was for a unit on Catcher in the Rye (which I really liked) where we had to express a theme from the novel using some sort of creative thing with visuals or audio or something. I chose the theme of "loss of innocence" and immediately thought of The Virgin Suicides and Ginger Snaps. I borrowed two of my friends who are sisters and dressed them up in girly pastels and little kid jewelry.
I shot the photos through a little hole in a piece of paper which I had crayoned shades of pink. I started playing with this a few months ago and it's really fun. I love how the pictures come out. I then printed out the pictures and made collages around them. They look better in person but my scanner isn't very good and my teacher currently has the originals.
I came up with a basic plot of two sisters who are super close, with the older one being very protective of the youngers innocence, yet being a "bad" influence, like Holden. I had someone endangering her innocence, and the older sister "taking care of it," but really just ruining any innocence she had left.
Thanks you to Raven, the younger sister, Ember, the elder, and Luke, the boy, for modeling.
Have a lovely day.

Chloe

Toxic Cats

On this day I wore a striped t-shirt under a black dress printed with a cat face, along with a neon green belt, skull-print stockings, and a vintage army jacket. My lipstick was home-made from crayons, using this recipe on Rookie. I combined half of a regular green crayon and half of a lighter yellow-green one and I love how the color turned out.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

Chloe
