Complimentary Colors

Dress: Gap, Shirt: Morrissey's 2014 Tour
I like wearing colors that compliment my hair so this dress is nice when my hair's purple. Today I wore it over the shirt I got at my first Morrissey show and did my hair in maiden braids again with purple roses. My roses wilted again by the time I took my pictures and I considered grabbing fresh ones but I didn't want them to go to waste.
I hope you have a glitterific day!

"Prairie Diva"

Dress: Thrift Store, Shirt: Idk (it was my mom's)
Yesterday my mom and I stopped at the thrift store and they had a little rack of halloween costumes out that's been building up over the past few weeks and I found this rad dress for 6 dollars. It had long sleeves that were very restricting but I altered it a bit before school so now it's sleeveless.
I wore it with my mom's old leopard print shirt and my black sneakers. For my hair I french braided it upside down so that it went into maiden braids and then pinned (now wilted) roses behind my braids.
I hope you have a glitterific day!

Daisies in the Drought

Dress: Forever 21, Boots: Doc Martins
This is my favorite dress right now and it's just really nice. I always like white collars and this one is really good for hot days because it's got a nice shift silhouette and it's lightweight.
I also wore this dress when we saw Morrissey in July and it was good for keeping cool in the pit.
Taking pictures down in the field in my backyard is weird because I keep comparing it to how it was freshman year before the drought hit and now it's completely brown.
(Before and after)
I hope you have a glitterific and maybe rainy day!
Love,
Chloe

Girl Gang A Go Go

T-shirt: Kate Nash, Tights: Target, Socks and Shoes: Forever 21, Hair ribbon: Michael's
This is what I wore the first school day after going to Burger A Go Go on the 5th. Burger A Go Go was so incredibly rad and I'm so glad I got to go because it was amazing. It made me really happy to see an entire festival of really cool women making music and everything was just good.
My friend and I wore matching outfits which was fun because I wore my bear dress and he wore bear overall shorts that I made for him the night before. We both wore white t-shirts and black knee socks to complete our outfits.
I got this Girl Gang t-shirt at Kate Nash's merch table afterwards, along with her zine which is also rad. They only had extra larges left but I like big t-shirts, especially when they're long enough to conceivably be worn as dresses. I wore this one with glittery star-printed tights and my black sneakers, with a black skeleton ribbon in my hair.
I hope you have a lovely day!

Chloe

All You Need Is Moz (Jacket DIY)

Shirt: Cash4Chaos, Jacket: DIY, Skirt: Amazon, Socks: Modcloth, Sneakers: Forever21
Today was the first day that I got to wear my newly redone jacket to school which was nice because I really like this jacket, even if it's a bit wonky.
I did my jacket in an attempt to emanate Moz's Elvis jacket in the Shoplifters video, to some degree of success?
If you want your own slightly creepy/super rad jacket, here's how I did mine:
 (original jacket)
I used fuchsia Rit dye on my denim jacket using the Rookie tutorial.
I sketched out little pictures of Morrissey's face first but I couldn't get the dimensions right.
I traced the basic features of his face off of my laptop and then poked through the paper onto the back of the jacket, which I'd painted out white.
I proceeded to paint his face onto my jacket.
Faces are weird, especially on fabric because if the fabric folds or is in any way not perfectly flat it looks really weird and creepy, especially when it's thrown over the back of your chair late at night. Either way, I'm proud to wear a painting of Morrissey's face across my back each day.
Today I wore my jacket with a Morrissey t-shirt (because you can never have too much Moz- he's all you need, after all), my silver skirt and sneakers with frilly socks. I also fashioned a crown of green hydrangeas.
I hope you have a glitterific day!

Bear Dress Part 2

Dress: DIY, Shirt: Target, Sneakers: Forever21
Today I wore my bear dress with a striped t-shirt underneath. I seem to always pair this dress with a patterned shirt but I think it just looks nice. I did my hair in little space buns accessorized with red flowers pinned on either side. Makeup-wise I used pink lipstick as eyeshadow, thick black wings and red lipstick with a black eyeliner-star under each eye.
I hope you have a glitterific day!

I Am A Gazelle.

T-shirt: The Muffs, Skirt and Sneakers: Forever21
It was weird because so far I've worn flowers in my hair every day of school this year but today I didn't really have enough for a proper flower crown because drought so I wore a sparkly flower clip but it felt wrong. I think I'll scrounge around more tomorrow morning and try and weave some daisies or something.
Luckily it was cooler this morning and pretty overcast most of the day but it still got hot because the weather hates me. Apparently so do cassette decks because I just fixed mine and was halfway through a mixtape when it pooped out again. At least I've still got my fly style.
Have a glitterific day!

Chloe
