Glad to See Ya

Top: Forever 21, Skirt: Thrift Store, Socks: Target, Shoes: Asos
Today I wore lots of hearts because my mom gave me these rad dinosaur socks yesterday and they have sparkly red hearts on them so I had to coordinate. I wore some really thin pale pink tights and then sort of just stuck some plastic gems in them so that the tights were holding them in place and it was kind of weird but I liked that it looked like they were just magically on my legs.
In my hair I wore the first camellia bloom of the season (which is very exciting and it's really pretty and there was a large bug in it at the end of the day that may or may not have been in my hair all day) and a bunch of gladiolas.
I hope you have a glitterific day!

Hot Pink Snuffleupagus

Sweater and Tights: h&m, Skirt: Amazon, Headband: DIY
This sweater makes me feel like Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street (except in hot pink).
I think the resemblance is quite striking.
It's fuzzy and stretchy and really kind of wonderful. Paired with my silver skater skirt it also made me feel kind of like a space monster which is also wonderful. I also wore the pom pom headband I made this weekend which I really like and have worn a few times already this week.
I hope you have a lovely day!

Space Unicorn

Dress: Modcloth, Sweater and Tights: Forever 21, Socks: Socksmith, Shoes: h&m, Collar: romwe
Last night my sister gave me these mega-rad socks that are purple and have stars and moons and UFOs that are sucking up dinosaurs and unicorns and I love them. I basically planned my outfit out today around them, with glittery light blue tights, a rainbow dress and a mint sweater. I did most of my makeup in the car this morning (as I have all week because I've been sleepy and I keep oversleeping because I saw MORRISSEY last weekend and have not yet fully recovered physically or emotionally) and I grabbed some white eyeliner and teal glitter eyeliner and drew little 'V' hearts on my face on a whim. I like them because they're definitely visible but they're still somewhat subtle.
When my mom took down our christmas decorations I requested to keep all of the twinkle lights in my room (which will really make it so much easier next year when they're right on hand and don't have to be dug out) and now my room is on its way to becoming a twinkly magical land.
I hope you have a glitterific day!

(Not So) Mellow Yellow

Dress: Gap, Shirt: Thrift store, Coat: Garage sale, Tights: Betsey Johnson, Boots: Target
Even though it only rained early this morning I still wore my rain gear because I only just got to get it all out and I like it. I considered swapping my raincoat for a sweater but I felt like it pulled the rest of the outfit together quite nicely.
I felt kind of like pop art with a bright yellow dress, hot pink tights and a turquoise coat but it's not a bad way to feel. I layered my dress over a pink and blue plaid men's button-up that I got at the thrift store this summer.
I hope you have a lovely day!

I ♥︎ [Heart] The Rain

Dress: Vintage, Collar anf Tights: DIY, Shirt: Old Navy, Boots: Target
Today it rained on and off all day but it was finally enough moisture to justify rain gear. I got to wear my new rainboots, and the raincoat I got at a yard sale this summer. I even got to use my rad unicorn umbrella that's really small and probably intended for children.
I wore a purple gingham dress layered over a striped t-shirt with an old shirt collar that I drew on, my heart tights, spotty boots and some white flowers in my hair. I added a bit of blue glitter around my eyes to match the collar and my current nail polish color.
I hope you have a glitterific day!

Chloe

Out Of This World

Dress: Forever21, Boots: Painted docs
Today I felt like a space alien. After three or four outfit changes that did't feel right, I settled on this turquoise retro-style dress with two pairs of blue-green fishnets, turquoise socks and my now-white doc martins. I've gotten into kind of a shoe painting phase but there's something kind of cool and spacey about white boots, especially when I added neon green laces and an alien sticker along with a couple of silver stars.
For my pictures I hung up a white sheet because I've never tried it and I wanted to see how it'd work. It was kind of weird but I might try it again. I also tried to take a few pictures with the moon because I felt spacey but it's very difficult to do those by yourself so I settled for an out of focus shot with my arms kind of in the frame.
To go with my alien #aesthetic I put my hair in space buns and added hoards of green and pink glitter. I also used lots of blue and green in my makeup, including my lipstick.
All day I had Alien Love Song by the Sulk Scouts stuck in my head, which you should check out because they're rad. I saw them at Burger A Go Go and they were super fun. Plus, their album is free on Bandcamp.
I hope your day is ~out of this world~

Chloe

All of the Flower Crowns

Top: Hand-me-down, Sweater: Forever 21, Skirt: Flea market, Socks: Forever 21, Shoes: Thrifted and painted
Today was the Econ Fair at school, where seniors get into groups and sell products that they've made/brought and in my group I was selling flower crowns with fresh flowers. I honestly have no idea how many flower crowns I made today because I just sat and made them for about three or four hours. I ended up with one left over so I wore it for the rest of the day. Here is one that my mom bought from me when she dropped off some extra wire for me:
I used mostly carnations, roses and baby's breath. It was fun because I like making flower crowns and it was cool looking around and seeing all these different girls wearing them then.
Because we were supposed to dress professionally, I wore a floral button-up that my mom gave me with a ribbon tied under the collar, a mint green pullover with my feminist rosette, a black skirt and tights, mint ruffled socks and white oxfords. The shoes were just old black oxfords that I spray painted white and intend to paint some kind of pretty pastel color. They're about two sizes too big but they're pretty and they make me feel fancy so I just stuffed the toes with paper towels.
I hope you have a glitterific day!
