This is what I wore yesterday. I hadn't worn this dress yet this school year, and I got it last year, but cut the sleeves off, because it used to have short sleeves that I didn't really like. I wore black leggings with gray and black striped knee socks rolled down over them. I did my hair in victory roles, and put the rest of it in two little baby buns. They half fell out throughout the day, though. For my pictures, I grabbed my chicken, Glitter, and held her. She was a good model, and gave me lots of interesting poses to choose from.

"It's Begining to Look a Lot Like Christmas..."

Today, I dressed festively. I own surprisingly little red and green, though, but I wore my off-red Rosie the Riveter shirt, and my sage-y green tights. My skirt reminds me of snowballs or something, so that seemed appropriate, and my hat and boots remind me of Lily, from "Dash and Lily's Book of Dares", which is probably my favorite book ever. Of course, now that I thought of that, she'll be my inspiration for every outfit I wear over winter break. I gave, not only pictures of my outfit, but some pretty awesome pictures of our orange trailer, Scout (she's all dressed up for Christmas, too!), some of our decorations, and our beautiful plastic lawn Santa and his Reindeer. 

I keep listening to Christmas music, but not just the typical music they've been playing in every store. Sure, I like that music, but I could not listen to that for more than the necessary time. Here's a few of my favorite holiday songs:

The Butterfly Queen

Today I feel like the Butterfly Queen. I may not be wearing a butterfly-print dress, but, as you can tell, I'm all for subtlety. I bought this glitterific outfit yesterday at Forever 21, and it is just amazingly sparkly. The pictures don't do the skirt justice, because the fabric is like a fairy dress, and it is completely covered in glitter. The sweater has little gem stone things spilling off of the light green shoulders. The blouse just has such a pretty collar, though! It's a black triangle collar, with white stitching all along the edges! For my head piece, I took an old sparkly headband from when I was little, and clipped some decorative butterflies on it. I was going to wear an actual crown, but my silver tiara is broken, and my magenta one clashed with my lipstick.

Nautical Hearts

Today it rained again, so as soon as it started, I ran outside and danced, and just kind of stood in the rain for a while. Even if it's rainy, I still went sort of nautical in my outfit today, and I like it. I made these tights this summer, and even though I haven't worn them very much, I really like them. They give any outfit an extra dose of whimsy!

60's Girl Gangs

Today I feel like I should be a member of a 60's girl gang. My dad said that my outfit looked like a mixture of mod and puck, and I liked that. This is the other dress I got at Ross the other day, and I like how it looks with my matching hounds tooth boots. Since it's still chilly out, I grabbed my leather jacket, and it went really well with my outfit. It added to the whole "girl gang" thing. I did my hair by just teasing up a chunk in the back, then pinning the front over that, and adding a headband. I had flipped the ends of my hair this morning, which really made it look 60's-y, but it came out by 2nd period. I just did the same "Twiggy eyes" as yesterday, but with fewer, slightly thicker lower lashes, and I like how it turned out better than yesterday. Then I used a bright pink lipstick to finish it all off.
