Purple Hair and Socks

For the past week or so, my hair has been slowly fading from a beautiful bright red to a pinkish-orange. I don't like it when it does that. So, I decided to change it to purple! Since it's summer, I'm allowed to do more fun colors (like purple), because then my teachers and everyone don't think I'm totally insane. Hence, the purple. Above, I've included not only a picture my violet hair, but three pairs of socks from Sock it to Me (www.sockittome.com), an amazing website that created the dinosaur socks from my first outfit post! Aren't these socks amazing? I love the mushrooms because they're so whimsical, and the Zombies, because I love Zombies. They're so cool, running/limping around, eating brains, not caring what people say about them. They're the theme of my birthday party next week. And the mustaches are cool, because who doesn't love a good handlebar mustache? Losers. That's who. I hope none of you are losers, but have a glitterific day, even if you are.

Moonrise Kingdom

Dress- Forever 21
Tie- Stolen from my Mom
Tutu- Forever 21
Elephant Socks- Anthropology
Cat Shoes- Daddy O's

Yesterday, my parents and I went to see the new Wes Anderson movie, "Moonrise Kingdom," about two 12 year olds, who fall in love through a series of letters, and run away from home together. We all really liked the movie, as much as we always enjoy his movies. It had the humorous lines, given with strait faces, and quirky, likable characters that made the whole thing really enjoyable. Here's the trailer, if you haven't seen it yet:

I recommend you see the movie if it plays in your town, and hope you have a glitterific day!

The Adams Family

Hello, and happy Wednesday to you all! I'm just watching "The Adams Family Values," and wanted to bring my love for the movies to this blog. There are just so many amazing lines and characters in them, and my favorite character has to be Wednesday. Appropriate, right? You know, seeing as it is Wednesday... But one of my favorite lines of all time is when she and Pugsley go to summer camp, and Morticia says "Wednesday is in that special place, when there's only one thing on her mind." "Boys?" Amanda's mother asks, to which Wednesday replies, "Homicide." If you want to watch it, I found a "Best of Wednesday Adams" video, and that scene is at 3:53. Personally, I think that the Adams Family should never be thought of as just a "Halloween Movie," and should be watched every day! Maybe some day it will be, but until then, have a glitterific day!

My Movie Costume

Blouse- Forever 21
Crinoline- Most likely vintage
Leggings-Nordstom
Socks- Victorian Vouge
Boots- Jedlicka's

So, this is my costume for our movie, and although it's a costume, I do play just an exaggerated version of myself, mixed with the "Manic-pixie-dream-girl" type of a character, so this is just a normal outfit for me. Even with this, my grandma walked in my house this morning, and just said, "Well.... You certainly have a... unique style?" If you are wondering at all what this manic-pixie-dream-girl character is, you can look at this you tube video, that sort of pokes fun at them, although it kind of freaks me out to watch it, because, like the girls in the video, I love pancakes, poking peoples noses and saying "boop", playing with glitter, the song "New Slang," and dancing in the rain. Also, I would so get married in a bouncy house.
I hope you watch it, and have a glitterific day!

Happy Fathers' Day!

Blouse- Forever21
Shorts- Forever 21
Dinosaur Socks- The Sock Shop (San Fransisco)
Boots- Jedlicka's

Happy Fathers' Day! I hope everyone had a fun one, filled with barbeques, football tosses and glitter! If you haven't noticed, I tend to use a large number of exclamation points, but I think that you should make everything an exclamation that you can! For my first outfit post, I wore what is a usual school outfit for me, and I like this outfit! Of course, I had to wear my favorite dinosaur socks, that I got on a trip to San Fransisco a few years ago, and wear them as often as I can! I hope you all wish you're fathers a glitterific day!

Hello, Fellow Bloggers and Viewers!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Chloe and I invite you to bear with me, as I get the hang of this blog. I hope to show you a piece of my life and style. I love vintage clothes and circuses, listening to music, reading books, and dying my bright red hair. My goal is to inspire you with zany costumes, anecdotes about my life, and whatever projects I happen to be working on, to bring a little bit of whimsy to your day.  At the moment, a few of my crazy friends and I are making a movie, and just finished writing the script. I'll try to keep you posted about anything interesting that happens with it.
I'll keep this first post short, and wish you all a glitterific day!
