Hello all, and happy New Year! Today, I dragged my friends, Ember, Alicia, and Jenny over, and dressed them up in "Chloe Clothes". We then had a wonderful photo shoot, which I titled "Welcome to Dreamland". It's supposed to be kind of where these dream-like things are happening, but they're all sort of twisted. For instance, you'd be looking in the mirror, but it would be someone else looking back at you, or you would be at this pastel tea party, but nobody's smiling. It gave me a chance to play around with my new camera & tripod that I got for Christmas! It was really fun dressing them! I wanted them to be in super girly, pastel outfits for the tea party part, but with just pancake makeup, semi-resembling the girls of Strawberry Switchblade. I gave each of them a pastel color, and used that throughout their outfits and makeup. Their outfits were sort of inspired by the Meadham Kirchhoff’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
For the nightclothes part, I wanted it to be sort of like she was just entering Dreamland. I wanted Ember to sort of be the one dreaming, and, in the mirror pictures, I had Jenny as sort of her dream-alter-ego. It was fun doing that shoot, because we used this cool dressing table that's missing the mirror, and set it up so that Ember and Jenny were mirroring each other. I dressed Ember in a white slip & a light blue robe, and kept her makeup pretty light. Since she was supposed to look innocent, I gave her a sort of Twiggy eye. For Jenny and Alicia, I just did super dark black makeup on their eyes, and a very dark red lipstick.
I hope you all have a glitterific New Year!
Love,
Chloe
